Arctic Dolphin Arthur Mod Detail Review and Guide

Main Features of Arctic Dolphin Arthur Mod

Pipesarsenal
One of the most prominent features of the Arctic Dolphin Arthur is the stabilized wood that wraps around the mod.  Arctic Dolphin provides both wattage and temperature control modes. I usually don’t mind the style or color of my vaping devices, but I have grown attached to this stabilized wood that gives the vaporizer a unique look. The Arthur is 28 millimeters in width and 45 millimeters in length with a height of 89 millimeters.  The wattage output on the Arthur ranges from 5 to 80 watts on a single battery with a resistance range from 0.15 ohms to 2.5 ohms.  The temperature control ranges from 95 degrees Celsius to 345 degrees Celsius or from 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 650 degrees Fahrenheit with a resistance range of 0.6 ohms to 1 ohm.  The Arthur supports many wire types like titanium nickel and stainless steel as well as CUV coil atomizers. The stabilized wood wraps around the entirety of the mod instead of just a part of it. It has a series of vent holes located below, the chip as well as two vent holes on the battery cover. The 510 connection is spring loaded and adjustable so Arthur will work with most tanks or drippers. The 510 connection has large 25 millimeter cover that wraps around it.

The Button Layout of the Arctic Dolphin Arthur

You have to press 5 times the power button to turn on the vaporizer. The button layout is simple by clicking plus and minus buttons you can increase or decrease the wattage. The wattage Scrolls up very quickly actually too quickly for my liking. You can go from 5 to 80 watts in just a second which is fine if you want to crank to a high wattage, but not so well if you want to fine tune your wattage like I do. I find I have to keep clicking the plus and minus buttons to get my desired wattage. If you want to change to the Temperature Control Mode you click Fire button three times to change the mode. By holding the Fire and plus button you will lock the device.  This will not let it to fire or change settings. If you want to turn off the lock you have to hold Fire and Plus buttons again. If you have a temperature control atomizer connected then you have to hold the Fire and Minus button to lock the atomizer settings.

Arctic Dolphin Display Symbols

If you hold down the plus and minus buttons you will open the menu which is filled with several symbols.  The first symbol is a Sun which will let you to change the brightness of the screen. The lock symbol is just another lock for the vaping device which is the same as the plus button and fire button together. The circle arrow symbol allows you to change the orientation of the screen. The next symbol will show the serial number of the vaping device. The N symbol will display a puff counter and it lets you to set a puff cutoff,  if you don't want to go over a certain number. The T symbol is to change the time duration of the puffs. This vaporizer offers you the range from 3 to 20 seconds. The F and C symbol lets you to choose between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes for the temperature control.  The coil looking symbol will allow you to pick a default wire type for the temperature control. The first folder symbol lets you to save any atomizer and wattage combination that you have. If you change atomizers a lot and you want to save a setting, this will allow you to save up to five different combinations. The next folder symbol allows you to load any of the preset settings you saved before.  The end symbol allows you to change the ramp-up time for the coil to heat up. The last symbol turns off the vape device.

My Vaping Experience with Dolphin Arthur Mod

I tested the Arctic Dolphin Arthur with the Geek Vape Illusion Tank using a 0.15 ohm coil between 35 to 50 watts. The Arthur performs well enough for a single battery vaping device. I used it for a few days taking it with me as I went out and it's definitely grown on me. In terms of performance it functions just like any other single battery box mod, but the feel and look of the stabilized wood is what really makes this mod to stand out. One thing that was very noticeable was that the stainless steel around the tank would get very hot when the tank got hot, however the stabilized wood would not get hot at all. The heat would concentrate just on that top metal part, but the wood would still be cool to the touch.

Pros and Cons

The Arctic Dolphin Arthur is a great working vape device that's an improvement from the Adonis. My biggest complaint with the Adonis was the lack of any vent holes on the battery cover or on the vaping device. I think the stabilized wood is a big plus of this vaporizer. I'm usually not attracted to vanity devices but this has a great look. It makes the mod stand out more instead of the typical black and stainless steel colors. The price is another plus the Adonis previous model was a very expensive. My biggest con is the scrolling on the temperature and wattage settings. This Scrolls way too fast and it makes it very annoying to get the right setting. The second big con is the lack of labeling for the battery position. It is a big thing for anyone who doesn't know which way the batteries should be oriented in the device. There was no information in the manual stating which way to put it, so I just took my best guess. Overall I do really like the Arctic Dolphin Arthur Mod. It definitely is the best looking of all the vaping devices I have.
